J-1 Exchange Visitor Program (EVP) is used by people going to the United States on a special exchange program. These visitors are sponsored by an approved organization, which includes universities and government agencies that can be designated as sponsors of the EVP. Each person's stay in the United States is based upon an agreement between them, their sponsor, and the U.S. Government
Passenger in transit visa, otherwise known as A1 or A16, for Transit Through International Airports. It allows you to enter the US only at certain airports; usually this would be when arriving from Canada or Mexico after crossing over through land border controls (i.e. at San Ysidro or El Paso, TX), it does not permit entrance into the USA at any other port of entry, or entry into Canada or Mexico via waterway. They also do not allow travel between the United States、Canada、or Mexico unless they are returning home to where they entered. This type of visa can generally be obtained on arrival at your point of departure without having to have secured one ahead of time. For example: In order to reenter the United States legally after traveling within North America, Canadian citizens must show either an American Visa, or a valid North American Pass. Mexican Citizens entering the United States with these visas may then cross back into Mexico using Mexican Customs and Immigration stamps and return to Canada and Mexico using the same passport as before. The main advantage of obtaining such a stamp instead of applying for visas is that there should never be a limit placed on how many times someone holds this type of stamp can go back and forth across borders. However some airlines refuse to board you if have no visa stamped into your passport, so be aware what airline you use.
